New Injuries Round 1:
Iosefo Masi (Drua) - Limped off after 60 minutes after making a tackle. It could have just bene a cramp, or a right leg injury.
Tiaan Tauakipulu (Force) - Limped off late for the Force with a rib injury. No clarity yet on if it was serious. Source.
Divad Palu (Force) - Out as of rd 2 with a shoulder injury. Source.

Vilive Miramira (Drua) - Suffered an ankle injury, considered a short term injury). Source.
Noah Hotham (Crusaders) - Suffered an ankle injury early in the game and had to come off. The mechanism made it look like a syndesmosis injury. They have listed his return date as unclear at this stage. Source.
Riley Higgins (Hurricanes) - Apparently broke his hand in two places days before rd 1. He was meant to go for surgery on Friday 14th Feb and is expected to have an extended spell on the sideline. No return date has been set yet. Source.
Isaia Walker-Leawere (Hurricanes) - Picked up an injury in rd 1. Expected back rd 3. Source.
Pone Fa'amausili (Moana) - Listed as injured before round 1 and not listed this week. We assume that means he has recovered but wasn’t picked. Source.
Likely Back for Round 2:
Liam Wright (Reds) - Recovering well from his shoulder operation. His conservative return date was always round 2. Considering he went on the UK tour (but didn’t play), we think he must have been close enough for them to think he could have if needed. Source.
Filipo Daugunu (Reds) - Got a bad concussion in their trial on the 8th of Feb, a fortnight out from their first game (they have a bye in rd 1). However he was eventually able to walk off, suggesting his cognitive function and recovered quickly. World rugby says he can’t play for at least 12 days, which means he is still a good chance of playing in rd 2. Source.
Charlie Cale (Brumbies) - Had a big shoulder operation after the July internationals. Back this week, a week earlier than expected.
Billy Proctor (Hurricanes) - Has an Achilles injury that kept him out of rd 1 and 2. We thought he was a good chance to return in rd 2 but not to be. He is training with the team so it isn’t a tendon tear, which means he has a tendinopathy (overload pathology). Source.
Hoskins Sotutu (Blues) - Back in rd 2 from his knee injury.
Returned in Round 1:
Iosefo Masi (Drua) - Returned from his torn hamstring.
Jake Gordon (Waratahs) - Played despite limping off in the final trial.
