Super Rugby Pacific Team of the Week - Rd 3
The best Draft Rugby Fantasy Scorers for round 2 of Super Rugby
Intro
Round 3 was a week of redemption for the defending champions and a statement from the Drua "Fortress" in Lautoka. While the Crusaders turned the tide against the Chiefs, the Casualty Ward continues to expand, claiming George Bell (ankle) and Rivez Reihana (adductor). For managers, the Trade Window is now a high-stakes scavenger hunt. If you didn't have the ever-reliable work of Christian Lio-Willie or the explosive power of Peni Ravai, you likely felt the sting of a head-to-head loss
Team of the Week
1: Peni Ravai – Prop, Drua (52 pts) The “Unlikely Playmaker” of the round. In a mud-soaked Lautoka, Ravai delivered a deft offload for the winning try. With 8 scrums won and a line-break assist, he provided the high-floor performance managers crave from a prop despite coming off the bench.
2: George Bell – Hooker, Crusaders (89 pts) Bell was a force of nature before his 65th-minute injury. He stuffed the stat sheet with a try, a try assist, and 2 line breaks. His 54 post-contact metres show he was fighting for every blade of grass, but owners should monitor the Casualty Ward closely.
3: Tevita Alatini – Prop, Brumbies (40 pts) Efficiency personified. Alatini played just 27 minutes but recorded 6 carries over the gain line. Under the 2026 scoring engine, that’s a tight five workhorse at its best - scoring nearly 1.5 points per minute.
4: Tupou Vaa’i – Lock, Chiefs (60 pts) A 29-ruck arrival shift is exactly why Vaa’i is a blue-chip asset. He added a try and 4 lineout takes, proving he’s the high-work-rate engine every manager needs to anchor their second row.
5: Lukhan Salakaia-Loto – Lock, Reds (60 pts) Salakaia-Loto provided the punch the Reds needed with 7 gain-line crosses and a try. His 19 ruck arrivals and 3 dominant carries ensure he remains a top-tier fantasy lock.
6: Christian Lio-Willie – Back Row, Crusaders (77 pts) The headline act. Lio-Willie became the first Crusader to bag a hat-trick against the Chiefs, all from forceful pick-and-go plays. 16 carries and 14 tackles; this is a “double-double” masterclass.
7: Fraser McReight – Back Row, Reds (72 pts) The “Turnover King.” McReight secured 3 turnovers won and a massive 16 tackles to stifle the Highlanders’ momentum. His try assist and try-scoring ability make him a premium backrow asset.
8: Luke Jacobson – Back Row, Chiefs (60 pts). Jacobson rewarded managers through pure involvement. 4 offloads and 22 ruck arrivals show his importance to the Chiefs’ transition game.
9: Noah Hotham – Scrumhalf, Crusaders (51 pts) After missing chunks of 2025 with injury, Hotham is back and sprightly. He recorded a round-high 3 line-break assists for scrumhalves and added a try in the Hamilton thriller.
10: Taha Kemara – Flyhalf, Crusaders (57 pts) With Rivez Reihana hitting the Casualty Ward, Kemara stepped up with 87 carry metres and 11 individual points. He is the ultimate “Handcuff” who has now turned into a priority starter.
11: Leroy Carter – Outside Back, Chiefs (75 pts) Carter hit the afterburners for a full-field breakout try that may well go down as the try of the season. His 104 post-contact metres and 6 tackle busts demonstrate a physical dominance that many higher-drafted wings can’t match.
12: Quinn Tupaea – Centre, Chiefs (60 pts) Tupaea is the glue in the Chiefs’ midfield. 14 carries and 10 tackles show the volume and consistency that Draft managers love. He’s a high-ceiling 12 who isn’t afraid to truck it up in the red zone.
13: Timoci Tavatavanawai – Centre, Highlanders (51 pts) “Jimmy” remains a tackle-bust machine. 9 busts and 66 post-contact metres show that even in a team under pressure, he will generate points through sheer physical dominance.
14: Caleb Clarke – Outside Back, Blues (68 pts) A classic strike-runner performance. 4 line breaks and 2 tries in just 60 minutes of work. If the Blues give him space, he’s a fantasy unicorn. Owners keep an eye on the Casualty Ward to find out what he’s done.
15: Jock Campbell – Outside Back, Reds (59 pts) Campbell’s 90 carry metres and 3 offloads provided the spark for the Reds’ razzle-dazzle win. His 58 kick return metres show his ability to counter-attack from anywhere.
Available in your league? (Hidden Gems)
Adam Lennox (Highlanders - Scrumhalf): With Dylan Pledger out for the season with an ACL, Lennox is due an opportunity. Doubling him up with Fakatava would give you a potent 1-2 punch.
Etonia Waqa (Drua - Lock/Back Row): The hero of Lautoka. Waqa’s engine is immense, and his versatility to cover lock or the back row makes him “gold dust” in deeper leagues. The big risk is the dreaded Drua rotation strategy.
Taha Kemara (Crusaders - Flyhalf): Reihana’s adductor injury makes Kemara the primary general for the champions. If he’s sitting in your Free Agent pool, grab him before your mates wake up.
