Super Rugby Pacific Team of the Week - Rd 2
The best Draft Rugby Fantasy Scorers for round 2 of Super Rugby
Intro
If Round 1 was a brutal reminder of work-rate, Round 2 was a clinic in clinical finishing and “Tight Five” dominance. While the Hurricanes’ electric backline set the scoreboard on fire in Wellington, savvy managers were watching the tight five in the trenches. With heavy hitters like Carlo Tizzano and William Havili in the Casualty Ward, the Trade Window is officially open for those looking to pivot before their season is gone.
Team of the Week
1: Tamaiti Williams – Prop, Crusaders (66 pts) Williams continues to prove why he’s a “Majestic Rhinoceros”. With 14 carries, he banked 28 points on volume alone before making a single tackle. Add in 12 tackles and 5 gain-line crosses, and you have the ultimate high-floor prop.
2: Samisoni Taukei’aho – Hooker, Chiefs (106 pts) A monstrous performance from the premium hooker. Along with two tries, he hit 23 rucks and won 10 lineout throws. This is the “Tight Five Edge” personified- he outscored almost every back in the competition this week.
3: Harry Johnson-Holmes – Prop, Force (63 pts) HJH justified his draft capital with 11 carries and 10 scrums won. His gain-line persistence (8 crosses) and a clinical try make him a Tier-1 asset for managers who value consistency over flashy wings.
4: Warner Dearns – Lock, Hurricanes (67 pts) The Japanese international was an engine room marvel, playing the full 80. He hit 26 rucks and secured 14 tackles, providing the “grit” that allowed the Canes’ backs to shine.
5: Josh Beehre – Lock, Blues (66 pts) With the Blues’ engine room depleted, Beehre stepped up with 16 tackles and a try. He is quickly transitioning from a “Smokie” to a “must-start” lock.
6: Brayden Iose – Back Row, Hurricanes (92 pts) Iose is having a genuine breakout season. His “double-double” (12 carries, 13 tackles) was capped off by a 40-metre runaway try that showcased pace rarely seen in a No. 8.
7: Charlie Cale – Back Row, Brumbies (79 pts) Cale is a statistical unicorn. Beyond his 16 tackles and 2 tries, his 5 lineout takes add a secondary scoring stream that makes him a Top-3 back-row pick for 2026.
8: Carlo Tizzano – Back Row, Force (72 pts) The quintessential “Tackle Machine.” Tizzano’s value comes from pure involvement: 27 ruck arrivals and 14 tackles. He is the ultimate head-to-head weapon who rewards managers through pure nuisance value.
9: Jake Gordon – Scrumhalf, Waratahs (49 pts) While not a massive score, Gordon’s 66 passes and 3 line-break assists showcase his role as the primary architect for the Tahs. He remains a high-volume playmaker.
10: Ben Donaldson – Flyhalf, Force (67 pts) Donaldson is gold dust as a dual-threat kicker. 17 individual points, including a try and 5 successful kicks, ensures he stays relevant even when the Force are under the pump.
11: Callum Harkin – Outside Back, Hurricanes (118 pts) The Player of the Round. Shifting to fly-half after Cameron’s injury, Harkin amassed 3 try assists and 6 offloads. If he keeps the keys to the No. 10 jersey, his ceiling is limitless.
12: Billy Proctor – Centre, Hurricanes (71 pts) Even off the bench, Proctor provided the stability the Canes needed. 8 tackle busts and 3 line-breaks showed physical dominance that yields points even without the tries.
13: Jordie Barrett – Centre, Hurricanes (60 pts) The Hurricanes captain and All Black regular proved his immense value as a playmaking hub. Following Brett Cameron’s injury, Jordie stepped up with 23 passes and 2 line-break assists to keep the attack clinical. Crucially for Draft managers, he assumed goal-kicking duties to slot 5 conversions (10 points), proving that a world-class centre who takes the shots is the ultimate fantasy cheat code.
14: Fehi Fineanganofo – Outside Back, Hurricanes (105 pts) A “Hot Shit” prospect who must be owned. 158 carry metres and 2 tries—Fehi is the primary strike-runner in a rampant Hurricanes side. Cash in while Naholo is building his fitness.
15: Andy Muirhead – Brumbies (82 pts) The model of consistency. Muirhead beat 9 defenders and registered 82 carry metres in the Brumbies’ clinical win over the Crusaders. This could have been his best-ever display.
Available in your league? (Hidden Gems)
Josh Jacomb (Chiefs - Fly-half): With McKenzie and Ratima unavailable due to births , Jacomb stepped in with elite tactical kicking and a try. He is a priority waiver add if McKenzie’s “regen” mode continues.
Motikiai Murray (Drua - Back Row): A workhorse in the making. His ruck arrivals and carry dominance are trending toward elite status.
Josh Beehre (Blues - Lock): With Patrick Tuipulotu and Sam Darry in the Casualty Ward, Beehre is the “Next Man Up” and is seeing a massive uptick in minutes and statistical responsibility.
