New injuries from Rd 15 Part 2:

SP Marais (Stormers) - Knee injury, cleared of major ligament damange but won't play Rd 16. Hoping to be back for Rd 17. Juan de Jongh (Stormers) - Concussion. Ruled out of Rd 16. Shaun Treeby (Stormers) - Rib injury, out for Rd 16 and 17. Sonny-Bill Williams (Blues) - his 4 week suspension will rule him out of the rest of Super Rugby. Will Skelton (Waratahs) - Fractured arm - done for the year. Hendrik Tui (Reds) - Returned from international duties with shoulder and rib complaints. Won't play Rd 16. Wilhelm van der Sluys (Kings) - suffered a concussion, progressing well but in doubt for Rd 16. Matías Alemanno (Jaguares) - Injured and won't tour Australia. Returned from Injury into Rd 15:

Lopeti Timani (Rebels)– Pulled from the match pregame after failing a Concussion fitness test, likely back Rd 15. Beauden Barrett (Hurricanes) – Made his comeback after a concussion scare the week before. Nehe Milner-Skudder (Hurricanes) – Fractured Metatarsals (injured Rd 3). Won’t play Rd 14 but targeting a Rd 15 return at the earliest. Callum Gibbins (Hurricanes) – Starting on his way back from a shoulder injury.

Lima Sopoaga (Highlanders) had a slight calf strain and didn’t train on Tuesday, managed more game time off the bench. James Lentjes (Highlanders) - Started at 7 after spending 3 months out with an elbow injury. Jack Dempsey (Waratahs) – Came off the bench for Rd 15.

Dane Haylet-Petty (Force) – Played at fullback and killed it for the Force. Matt Todd (Crusaders) – Was the Crusaders best forward against the Highlanders Ryan Crotty (Crusaders) – Played well but got injured.Stephen Donald (Chiefs) – Played inside centre for the Chiefs this week. Rene Ranger (Blues) – Played well at outside centre in place of Moala. Jimmy Tupou (Blues) – Finally beaten his lingering hamstring injury. Andre Esterhuizen (Sharks) – Returned from his 6 week ban. Curwin Bosch (Sharks) – Straight back in to the 15 jersey after the U20WC.

New Injuries Rd 15

Ryan Crotty is in doubt for the lions tour after injuring a rib cartilage

Ben Alexanders (Brumbies) - Injured his knee during training before game day. Henry Speight (Brumbies) - Hamstring injury, no word on his return yet but he is apparently "almost over it". Samu Kerevi (Reds) - Low grade ankle Syndesmosis 4-6weeks (1-15th July) They play Rd 16 on the 7th and Rd 17 on the 14th so pick him at your own risk.

Scott Higginbotham (Reds) - Missed the Italy test with a neck injury. Won't play Rd 16. Rob Simmons (Reds) - AC jt during training last week. out for 4-6weeks (1-15th July). Lukhan Tui (Reds) - Arm or shoulder injury. No injury news makes me thinks he has shrugged it off. Sefa Naivalu (Rebels) - Syndesmosis injury, expected out for 6-7 weeks which will rule him out for the season. Toni Pulu (Chiefs) - Hamstring. Ryan Crotty (Crusaders) - Hamstring tear, out of the 2nd Lions test, no word on super rugby yet. Sounds like he could play Rd 16. Toni Pulu (Chiefs) - "Done his patella" (we assume a dislocation), out for the season Brodie Retallick (Chiefs) - Developed concussion symptoms so won't play Rd 16. Taleni Seu (Chiefs) - Fractured his arm during the week. Out for up to six weeks so he would most likely only be back from Rd17. Nepo Laulala (Chiefs) - Head knock with Retallick. Assumed concussion. Brodie Retallick (Chiefs) - Head knock with Laulala. Assumed concussion. Ben Smith (Highlanders) - Suffering from vertigo. Matt Hodgson (Force) – Limped off with a left calf injury. Won't play Rd 16. Adam Coleman (Force) - Concussion Ben May (Hurricanes) - Has a "Slight Shoulder problem" Ricky Riccitelli (Hurricanes) - Concussion Jean-luc du Plessis (Sharks) - has undergone a series of hip operations and will be out for a long time. Torsten van Jaarsveld (Cheetahs) - Neck injury playing for Namibia, out for 6-8 weeks. Likely gone for the season. Warren Whiteley (Lions) - Out for 6-8 weeks with a torn ligament in his pelvis.

Dane Coles won't be back for the Hurricanes until after the international break.

Augustine Pulu (Blues) – Rested for Rd15 to recover from niggling injuries. Blake Gibson (Blues) – Rested for Rd15 to recover from niggling injuries. Matt Duffie (Blues) – Rested for Rd15 to recover from niggling injuries. George Moala (Blues) – Rested for Rd15 to recover from niggling injuries. Charlie Faumuina (Blues) – has tonsillitis. Charlie Ngatai (Chiefs) - Back from his most recent bout of concussion. Matt Proctor (Hurricanes) – Played off the bench for the Hurricanes development side in Rd 15. Wes Goosen (Hurricanes) – Seems to have recovered from his shoulder injury to play off the bench for Rd 16. Robbie Coetzee (Lions) – 5 week ban for kneeing Cloete, he will only miss Rd 15. Andrew Kellaway (Waratahs) – returning from a face fracture. Played club rugby in Rd 14, has flown over to NZ for Rd 15. Tomas Cubelli (Brumbies) – Patella Tendon, hoping to be back for the international break and Rd16. Scott Sio (Brumbies) – Patella and medial ligament, facing ~2 months on the sideline from Rd 10. Should play Rd16. Michael Wells (Waratahs) - Expected to recover from a foot complaint. Jono Lance (Force) - Broken hand, likely back for Rd16. Chance Peni (Force) – Ruptured Groin, Originally ruled out for the season but now is a chance for Rd16. Matt Philip (Force) - Expected back for Rd16. Ben McCalman (Force) – Refractured his Scapula (for the 3rd time) against the Kings. Ruled out of the international window. Suffered yet another injury setback and won't play Rd 16.

Likely back for Rd 16 (Part 2 After International Break):

Lukhanyo Am (Sharks) – Fractured cheek bone, having surgery and will miss the Test match series. Not sure if he will play Rd 15 after the break. Liaki Moli (Sunwolves) – Concussion. Mahlatse “Chiliboy” Ralepelle (Sharks) – Irritated a neck injury that he sustained in Springsboks camp. No news on timeframes yet but should play Rd 15 after the break. Ruaan Lerm (Kings) – returned to full training this week from an ankle injury. Lwazi Mvovo (Sharks) - minor injury, will miss Rd 15. Damian De Allende (Stormers) - Now back in full training. Ongoing Injury List: NEW ZEALAND Highlanders Liam squire – Fractured thumb. Out for 6 weeks, back after the international break. Could be fit for the start of the Lions series. Should play Rd 17 Dan Pryor – Getting more confidence on his knee and had come through club games recently (Updated before Rd 15). Dillon Hunt – Glute injury ruled him out of Rd 15. Should play Rd 17. Hurricanes Michael Fatialofa – Having surgery for his dislocated knee cap. “May” return this year. Reggie Goodes – Ongoing concussion symptoms – out for unknown time. Dane Coles – Concussion symptoms and problem calf. Now in extreme doubt for Rd 16. Chiefs Tim Nanai-Williams – Injured his ankle in Rd 14, almost played Rd15 but woke up sore on friday. I thought he would play Rd 16 but he was not named. Crusaders Pete Samu – Ankle injury, looked very uncomfortable so my guess is he will be out for 4-6 weeks from Rd 14. Now in a moon boot with makes this even more likely. Digby Ioane – Re-aggravated his pinky finger injury now requiring an operation. Digby has said he was out for five weeks (back Rd 13) but his coach has said there is no timeframe on his recovery. Kieran Read – Broken Thumb – had surgery after Rd10, normally 6weeks out. Scott Barrett – Knee and ankle injuries, unlikely for Rd 15. Should play during the Lions tour and in Rd 17 for the Crusaders. Blues Jerome Kaino – Out for 6 weeks from Rd 10. Meniscus tear going for surgery. Will Play Rd 17. Sonny Bill Williams – Knee injury, Ruled out of Rd 15. Expected back for the internationals and therefore Rd17. AUSTRALIA Waratahs Nick Phipps – Ankle syndesmosis injury, out of the internationals. Targeting a return for Rd 17. Reece Robinson - Finger injury, out for the season. Brumbies Leslie Leulua’iali’i-Makin – TBA. Reds Campbell Magnay – Concussion Rd 13. Force Jermaine Ainsley – Dislocated elbow, probably season. Kane Koteka – Returned to full training after concussion. Angus Cottrell - could be considered for Rd 17 against the Waratahs after returning to club rugby. Rebels Sean McMahon – Dislocated his wrist. Has suffered an injury set back and won't be back this season. Dominic Day - Out for the season Jordy Reid – Stress fracture in the back. Out for up to 6 weeks from Rd 6 Sam Jefferies – Ankle, indefinite. Harley Fox – Ankle 10-12 weeks. Semisi Tupou – Knee, 3-4 weeks. Cruz Ah-Nau – Knee, 3-4 weeks. Jack Maddocks – Forearm injury. Tim Metcher – Foot, 2-4 weeks. SOUTH AFRICA Sharks Pat Lambie - Concussion, has now been ruled out for the rest of the year. Stormers Jean-Luc du Plessis – Is progressing well following a pelvic bone stress injury, hoping to get a game in the Super Sport Challenge in 2-3 weeks (updated before Rd 13). Scarra Ntubeni – Back running after ruptured achillies last year Steph de Wit – Fractured his ankle, the bone healing well after surgery. Rynhardt Elstadt – Complete syndesmosis, to undergo surgery and will be out for 3 months. Huw Jones – Torn hamstring, to undergo surgery. Jacobus Janse van Rensburg – Torn a bicep muscle in Rd 10 and will be out for 4-6 weeks. Robert du Preez – Torn pectoral muscle, could undergo surgery which would rule him out for the season. Shaun Treeby – Issued a three week suspension following a dangerous tackle starting Rd 13. Lions Dylan Smith – Shoulder operation – 4 months Rohan Janse Van Rensburg – LCL & Posterolateral corner injury. Out for 12 weeks, Should be the season. Jaco Van Der Walt – Dislocated foot, Hopefully back in 4 weeks (Rd 12) Cheetahs Nico Lee – Grade 2 ankle injury, sidelined for 4-6 weeks, back after the June break – Rd 15. Paul Schoeman – Blood clots of the lungs. Unlikely to be back before the international window at best. Francois Venter – Hamstring tear in Rd 13 Shaun Venter – Ankle sprain, out for 4-6 weeks, likely back for Rd 17. Kings Waylon Murray – Hamstring injury, sent home from tour of Aus. Waiting on further scans for more news. Michael Willemse – Appendix removed, back after the international break. Andisa Ntsila – Sustained a shoulder injury in Rd 13. Targeting South Africa A games. Lionel Cronje – Fractured his Jaw during the week before Rd 14. Targeting South Africa A games. Alshaun Bock – Bicep tear, consulting a specialist this week so it sounds serious injured Rd14. Ntabeni Dukisa – AC joint injury, waiting on X-rays after Rd14. Bulls John-Roy Jenkinson – Grade 2 hamstring injury. To miss at least 1 more week. Handre Pollard – Ankle Injury, out for 8-10 weeks (late June). Dries Swanepoel – Expected back Rd 13. Jonny Kotze – Expected back Rd 10-11 Travis Ismaiel – Knee injury that will keep him out for six weeks, back after the international break. Jacques Potgieter – High blood pressure for an unknown reason, being pulled from play until it has been looked into. Hanro Liebenberg – Ankle injury, out for 6 weeks, This would have him fit for Rd 16 against the Kings. Jannes Kirsten – Concussions out for 2 weeks. Likely back Rd 16. Jacobie Adriaanse – Concussion, out for 6 weeks!  Likely back Rd 16. ARGENTINA/JAPAN Jaguares Emiliano Boffelli – Ruptured extensor tendon of his index finger. Cleared to train normally with the finger braced. Unclear if this will affect his chances of being picked. Marcos Kremer – Concussion, going through the return to play protocols. Sunwolves Taakaki Nakazuru – Went off 3 minutes in to the game after a big hit (Rd 9). No further news. Takeshi Kizu  -Reported as injured, not travelling to Argentina. No other news available Heiichiro ito  – stretchered off after a scrum- looks like neck Teruya Goto – hamstring. Hayden Cripps – Right knee injury Jamie-Jerry Taulagi – Red card – Banned for 5 weeks, Can return to play after June 10. Shota Horie – Injured in Rd 13 Willie Britz – Injured in Rd 13 Ed Quirk – Injured in Rd 13 Shota Horie – Injured in Round 13. Kenki Fukuoka – No news, he has fallen victim to the lack of news out of Japan
