The OG League Super Rugby Pacific 26 Round 6
Upsets Galore: The Juggernaut Falls and Nabung Reclaims the Throne
Super Rugby Pacific Round 6 was a weekend of absolute “banana skin” fixtures. We saw the heavyweights tested, the cellar-dwellers fighting for air, and some individual brilliance that completely upended the OG League hierarchy. From the Chiefs’ power game to the Hurricanes’ clinical execution, the real-world results paved the way for a massive shake-up in our fantasy standings.
In the OG League, the narrative of the week was “The Trade That Backfired.” A blockbuster deal between Harrison and Cargie sent shockwaves through the league and ultimately decided a matchup.
What is the OG League? For those newcomers joining us, The OG League is the founding Draft Rugby fantasy league and is in its 14th year of playing Draft Rugby. The OG League is a public and featured league on the draft rugby platform that you can follow along for the season if you have signed up to the platform. Trades
The trade floor was buzzing this week, but one deal overshadowed them all:
The “Samu” Slip-up: In a massive late-week move, Harrison Dale accepted a proposal from David Carr-Gregg, trading away Pete Samu and Miles Amatosero for Hoskins Sotutu and Josh Lord. While Sotutu is a fantasy god, he didn’t play this week, whereas Pete Samu’s 47 points for Cargie proved to be the literal difference between a win and a loss for Harry.@
Smart Business: The Samu slip wasn’t the only manager trade this week with Sean Stokoe accepted Andrew Pisani’s proposal to trade Callum Harkin (-2) and Nic Dolly for Josh Nasser (28) and Dylan Pietsch. It didn’t pay off this week, but no doubt it makes both sides stronger.
Old Dog, New tricks: Wylie traded Max Burey out for the evergreen Jack Debreczeni (53)

Round 5 Fixtures:
Ofa Tu’ungaFAST & The Furious vs. SAMISONIC THE HEDGEHOG
Result: 607 - 674 The king has fallen! Blake’s Ofa Tu’ungaFAST suffered its second loss of the season at the hands of a resurgent Nelson (SAMISONIC). Blake put up a massive 607 anchored by Quinn Tupaea (94) and Peter Lakai (82), but it wasn’t enough to stop the “Hedgehog” blitz. Nelson’s victory was built on the back of Jordie Barrett (101) and trade-in Joel Lam (44).
What could have been: Nelson actually left 89 points from George Bell and 80 points from Declan Meredith on his bench. Had he started them, he would have cleared the 800-mark!
Situti Down vs. Leicester We Forget
Result: 530 - 495 In the “Trade Grudge Match” of the century, Cargie’s Situti Down narrowly edged out Harry’s Leicester We Forget. The irony was palpable: Pete Samu (47), whom Cargie acquired from Harry just days prior, provided the winning margin. Harry will be kicking himself, especially seeing Chay Fihaki’s 92 points sitting uselessly on his bench while he started Jona Nareki (15).
Lam & Order vs. The Toole Shed
Result: 531 - 519 A nail-biter! Sean’s Lam & Order escaped with a 12-point victory over Wylie’s The Toole Shed. Miracle Faiilagi (71) and AJ Lam (68) did the heavy lifting for Sean. Wylie will be devastated; despite a round-high 115 points from Fehi Fineanganofo, he was let down by benching his namesake Core Toole (31), in favour of Zarn Sullivan (14), a 17 point swing that would have bagged him the win.
Expecto-Pa-TRY-trum vs. Roigardians of the Galaxy
Result: 403 - 687 Nabung’s Roigardians put on a masterclass, dismantling Andrew’s Expecto with the highest score of the round. Nabung’s squad is humming, led by Cam Roigard (85) and the ever-reliable Will Jordan (73). Andrew struggled with consistency, as an (11) from Brayden Iose and several sub-20 scores left him in the dust.
Round 6 OG League Fantasy Facts
Best Player: Fehi Fineanganofo (115 points) – The Toole Shed
Best Super Sub: Rory Scott (20 points) – Expecto-Pa-TRY-trum
Best Free Agent: Tevita Ofa (52 points) - Moana Pasifika
Biggest Coaching Mistake: Harry started Jona Nareki (15) over Chay Fihaki (92).
The OG League Table After Round 6
Nabung (Roigardians of the Galaxy) has officially reclaimed the #1 spot, capitalising on Blake's loss. Blake remains in 2nd, while Sean (Lam & Order) jumps into 3rd. At the bottom, Wylie is still holding the wooden spoon, but the gap between 4th and 8th is narrowing.

We ran into some unexpected issues with our servers over the weekend, which caused havoc with our live scoring. These are now fixed, and hopefully, it is an issue we won’t see again.
