Trades
The Round 1 trade session was a relatively tame affair compared to the preseason frenzy. Most managers opted for minor surgery rather than total reconstruction of their rosters, mainly finding bodies to cover for early-season injuries and non-selections. There was a great deal of indecision with managers sometimes picking a player then changing their mind on that position up to three times! Obviously trades to burn at this point in the season.
The standout move belonged to Andrew (Expecto-Pa-TRY-trum), who scooped up Bailyn Sullivan who whilst only scoring 32 points on the weekend, with the hurricanes losing their second flyhalf and Callum Harkin moving into the playmaker role, we’ll see plenty more of Sullivan starting now as the Canes absolute utility. In the same vein, Wylie (The Toole Shed) was stoked picking up Brett Cameron when both Nabung & him wanted the Canes first choice pivot with Ruben Love gone only for him to get injured early on in the game!

Round 2 Fixtures
The second week of the 2026 season proved that Round 1 was no fluke, with big scores becoming the new normal and the update attacking bonus point of 550 looking like it could be on the money.
Roigardians of the Galaxy vs Lam & Order
In a battle for early-season supremacy, Roigardians of the Galaxy (624) managed to lay down the galactic law against Lam & Order (547) and put him in his place.
Nabung’s Roigardians of the Galaxy (624) made it a perfect 2-for-2 to start the year. Nabung’s squad is currently an unstoppable juggernaut, with consistently great fantasy scores across his roster (what managers dream of) securing him another attacking bonus point. His best performers were Charlie Gamble (58), Tupou Vaa’i (55), Will Jordan & Haereiti Hetet (54) and Luke Jacobson (51).
Sean’s Lam & Order we think would not agree with our above statement about the 550 bonus point being on the money with his teams score falling an agonizing 3 points short on 547. His top of the logs were the Brumbies getting it done over in Christchurch, Charlie Cale & Andy Muirhead both with 88 points. Ben Donaldson with 67 and Jamie Hannah with 51 were also big contributors. Where he went astray was James Hendren’s error riddle performance landing with him a -11 points and not picking up a backup halfback during the trade session so just playing a man down. Very costly mistakes with the bonus point indeed!
Situti Down vs The Toole Shed
In a dominant display of firepower, Cargie’s Situti Down (628) roared to victory over Wylie’s The Toole Shed (476), proving that Cargie’s squad has found its rhythm after a shaky opening round.
Situti Down was powered by a truly elite performance from Hurricanes winger Fehi Fineanganofo, who dismantled the Moana B side to the tune of 105 points. He was well-supported by a high-climbing Warner Dearns (67) and the ever-reliable Rob Valetini (60). Cargie will be particularly pleased with the balance across his starting XV, as nearly every player contributed double-digit scores, ensuring a comfortable margin and a crucial attacking bonus point to kickstart his season climb. It was only Brandon Paenga-Amosa letting him down with a couple of penalties and yellow card but thankfully ended his match in the green with +9 points.
The Toole Shed seemed to have a screw or two loose this week, struggling to generate the big scores needed to keep pace. While Kaylum Boshier (54), Josh Lorde (51) and namesake Corey Toole (46) put in honest shifts, too many of Wylie’s heavy hitters failed to fire. Notably Miles Amatosero, who had huge Round 1 followed up with just 7 points! The reason we suggested a few screws were loose was for the 2nd week in a row Wylie forgot to set his starting team roster before lockout and this saw him leave a great deal of points on his bench. Tamaiti Williams & Billy Pollard both with 71 non counting points wasted on the bench and he’ll be thankful that Asafo Aumua (33) and Leroy Carter (23) didn’t have great games (also on his bench) otherwise this could have meant a different result altogether. It’s a tough result for The Toole Shed, who will be looking to the trade portal to find that missing spark for Round 3.
Expecto-Pa-TRY-trum vs Ofa Tu’ungaFAST & The Furious
In a clash of the rookie taking on the experienced veteran & ‘Bridesmaid’ (been in many grand finals but never won, always the bridesmaid never the bride), Expecto-Pa-TRY-trum (651) cast a winning spell over Ofa Tu’ungaFAST & The Furious (594) to secure a Round 2 victory.
Andrew’s side managed to pull off the win despite a benching blunder that will go down in OG League folklore; he left the round’s MVP, Callum Harkin, on the pine with a staggering 118 points. Had he played his cards right, he would have breached the 700-point mark, but instead of greatness, his victory was spearheaded by Brayden Iose (92), Caleb Tangitau (75), and Carlo Tizzano (72). The namesake Harry Potter (29) had a quiet night at the office, with most of the magic coming from the forward pack instead.
For Ofa Tu’ungaFAST & The Furious, it was a story of “what could have been.” While they put up a respectable 594 — comfortably clearing the attacking bonus point threshold — they couldn’t quite find the NOS engaged speed to catch Andrew. The engine room did its best, with Lachlan Shaw (65) and James Slipper (60) leading from the front, supported by a solid 49 from Jacob Ratumaitavuki-Kneepkens. However, with a few starters stuck in second gear, they’ll have to take solace in the bonus point and look to find an extra cylinder for Round 3.
SAMISONIC THE HEDGEHOG vs Leicester We Forget
In another tight Round 2 contest, Nelson’s SAMISONIC THE HEDGEHOG (556) outran Harry’s Leicester We Forget (508) in a battle of the brothers that proved namesake loyalty pays dividends.
Nelson’s squad was spearheaded by a vintage performance from his captain and namesake Samisoni Taukei’aho, who racked up a massive 106 points to single-handedly anchor the victory. He received plenty of support from his engine room sidekicks with Ethan Blackadder (57) and Anton Segner (56) putting in tireless shifts. Nelson was worried for the first couple of rounds fixtures and with Tate McDermott, Beauden Barrett & Kini Naholo to return from his bench in the next couple of weeks, his side has put the OG league on notice.
Leicester We Forget will be feeling the “what-ifs” after falling just 48 points short. Harry’s men didn’t lack for individual brilliance, led by a standout 73 from Kadin Pritchard and a solid 66 from lock Josh Beehre. However, the decision to play 2 men down and not to start his first draft pick and namesake Leicester Fainga’anuku (57) from the bench is likely not one he’ll repeat. It was a valiant effort that kept Nelson honest until the final whistle, but ultimately, his roster lacked the grunt to catch the Hedgehog this week. Now Harry has handed the bragging rights and has to hear about it from Nelson for the next 7 weeks… Fortunately the brothers play each other 3 times in the regular season so there is plenty of time left to decide the 2026 season fate.

The OG League Table After Round 2
The cream is beginning to rise to the top. Nabung sits pretty at the peak, but with the last pick in this rounds trade session again and in his own words his roster is at its weakest over the next few weeks, can he stay up there! For the bottom two on the table; Harry’s (Leicester We Forget) and Wylie’s (The Toole Shed) can they bag themselves their first win of the season?

What’s New on Draft Rugby?
As mentioned last week, starting team lineups are now live! You can find them by clicking any fixture on the Super Rugby 2026 Page. We have also added the fixture time’s and venue’s in those fixtures modules which should go live in the next couple of days.
You asked for it and so I worked on it this week! You all loved the live fantasy scores updating during games but I am talking about your league fixture total that wasn’t updating live as well, not until we processed all the round results. Well that should also hopefully be live for this weekend!
Our next mission is adding player status indicators (starting/benched/injured) directly to your fantasy team view.
Keep the feedback coming, and we’ll keep building.
Cheers, Cargie
Lastly, Callum Harkin was in fact so good this week that Andrews team was considering a new name sake, or just creating some fan art! Check it out. We’ve been loving generating these Fantasy Team Posters.
